Chelsea Flower Show 2010

The materials and planting for the garden were chosen to show a sustainable and low allergen approach. Set in a quiet area of a larger quad, the space offers the opportunity for students and staff to take time out from the hustle and bustle of college life. The smooth limestone paving passes under a pergola offering shade and shelter with seating and small pools of water to create a tranquil space to sit in. The pergola has coloured glass to reflect the changing light throughout the day and enhance the garden lighting in the evening. . Foliage plants with contrasting textures and colours are intermingled with dashes of colour from Iris 'Carnival Time', 'Quechee' & 'Sable', Paeonia 'Buckeye Belle' and Astrantia 'Sheila's Red' reflecting the coloured glass in the pergola.

After The Chelsea Flower Show, the garden was re-located to its permanent home outside The National Pollen and Aerobiology Research Unit (NPARU) which runs the UK pollen monitoring network and produces the national pollen forecasts for the BBC, Met office and national newspapers, situated on the campus of the University of Worcester.
TESTIMONIAL

The gardening world, especially in and around Worcester, should be thankful that Olivia has given up the piano and
the oboe for the trowel and drawing board. And she will be thankful that the inspiration that music gave to her has
passed so happily into her gardens and the inspiration that they in their turn give to others.
